Car Insurance Honda (Car Insurance). what's the cheapest price you've seen for a new toyota yaris?what's the cheapest price you've seen for a new toyota yaris? i've seen some 2011 toyota yaris' on cars.com and auto trader for no less than 16k, i was wondering if anybody noticed any recent deals...etc You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.fateback.com In my country (Australia) the cheapest drive away include insurance, registration etc is $ 18,000 AUD. so its about $ 18,500 USD What are you looking for New or Used? New if you go to the right dealer you can probably talk them down to 14K. Used can cost you about 8-9K depending on the condition and mileage. New Toyotas are going to be expensive right now because of the crisis in Japan dealers have been raising the MSRP on newer vehicles up about couple thousand dollars so I dont suggest buying one now until sometime next year when Toyota gets everything under control. Depends on the options you want. Local dealers occasionally advertise them as low as 12K (new), but this is a very basic car with roll-up windows and standard trans, which few people want. They do this to get you in there so they can steer you to a much more expensive car. Auto parts : Tap And Die Set Acura 1995 . Tap Socket Set Alfa Romeo 1996 . Tape Audi 1997 . Tee Fitting BMW 1998 . Squealing noise on 1999 Mitsubishi Galant VR4? Hey my Galant has an annoying squeal it makes when i do a full lock, I'm guessing my power steering belt is loose, but i'm not sure which belt operates the power steering as there are 2 belts next to each other. I can half twist one of the belts with my thumb and index finger which people have said is the right tension, while the other belt i could barely twist it at all, maybe too tight? also noticed the belt isn't sitting on the center of the pulley? its like to the side if you know what i mean, But my problem is I cant find a way to loosing tension on the second belt.. the first belt with tension adjuster and bolt loose i could move it higher or lower to tighten or loosen belt, as with the second one i have no clue where to find the bolts to loosen them.. Can anyone give me real good instructions as to where it is? maybe pictures too? will give 10 points to best answer :) thanks car insurance. Auto parts : Thermocouple Probe Dodge 2005. Honda . How to Use a Disc Brake Caliper Tool SetAs in any other task, the proper tools can make all the difference in doing a brake job quickly and efficiently. It is certainly true that replacement of disc brake pads and calipers can be done without a disc brake caliper tool set, but it is equally true that it will take much longer to get the job done that way. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Jack the vehicle up and support on jack stands. Remove the front tires and set aside. 2Torx sockets in kit Locate and remove the bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper bracket. Torx sockets are supplied in the disc brake tool set, but the bolts may not be torx head, in which case a hex wrench will remove them. 3Piston pushing tool (set up for a dual piston caliper) Lift or pry the caliper out of the bracket and off the rotor. Use the piston pushing tool to force the caliper pistons back into the caliper. Two pushing screws are provided with the tool, use one in the center threaded hole on most single piston calipers, and both screws on most dual piston setups. 4 Use the square block with a socket wrench to turn the piston in on a rear caliper when the piston is threaded and not designed to push back in. This setup allows the parking brake to be applied without using a separate set of brake shoes for that purpose. Tips & Warnings Always support a vehicle on jack stands before removing any tires from a vehicle.
Honda . How to Install Brakes for a Pontiac G6New brake pads need to be installed in your Pontiac G6 every 60,000 miles or even earlier if you frequently drive under stressful conditions, such as city driving. The brake pads, which press against the brake rotor when the breaks are applied, are seated within the brake caliper and its mount on the rotor. You need to install new brake pads on both sides of the car, not just one side at a time. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Jack stands Tire iron Wrench C-clamp Wire Brake pads Brake cleaner Rags Step by Step : 1 Check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder. It needs to be midway between the minimum and maximum levels. If it is higher, siphon out as much fluid as needed with a clean siphon or turkey baster. 2 Raise the G6's front end securely on jack stands. Loosen and remove the lug nuts on the wheels with a tire iron, and remove the wheels. Place lug nuts onto two of the wheel studs to keep the rotor in place. 3 Loosen and remove the lower guide pin bolt on the brake caliper with a wrench. Push the caliper's piston back into its bore with a piston installation tool or C-clamp. Pivot the caliper up off its mount and hold it in place with a strong wire. 4 Install the new brake pads into their shims and retaining clips within the caliper mount. If the old pads are still in there, remove them, then remove the shims and retainers, clean off all dirt and corrosion, rub an anti-squeal compound on the shims' backing plates and place them back in the mount before installing the pads. 5 Lower the caliper back into place and tighten the guide pin bolt. Replace the wheel onto the G6; you'll need to remove the lug nuts supporting the rotor first. 6 Seat the brakes once you have installed them on both sides. Push the brake pedal about two-thirds of the way down, release the pedal and repeat every 20 seconds until the pedal feels firm. *If the car idles with an offbeat rhythm, it isn't becoming creative; it's probably misfiring — one of the spark plugs or the wires that connect them to the distributor cap may be at fault. Try the following: • With the engine off, check the spark plug cables for breaks or shorts in the wiring. • With the engine off, remove the spark plugs one at a time and check whether they're clean and properly gapped. Replace any that are fouled or burned. If that doesn't help, have a technician check the ignition system with an electronic engine analyzer. People used to check spark plugs by holding the end of the spark plug cable close to a metal surface to see whether a spark jumped across when the engine was cranked, but the high voltage in most ignition systems now makes that procedure extremely dangerous. If the idling is rough but even and your vehicle has a carburetor, the carburetor settings may need to be adjusted. Chapter 13 shows you how to do this yourself. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the carburetor. Fuel-injected vehicles don't have carburetors, and a technician must check and adjust these complex electronic systems. Try checking the compression in each cylinder, following the instructions in the section of Chapter 13 called "Checking the Compression in Your Cylinders." If the engine needs to be rebuilt, you may prefer to get another engine — or another vehicle. 927

Doing so amplifies the sound and enables you to hear the rhythm. A misfiring cylinder comes through as a pumping or puffing sound. An even but rough idle is a clue that it's time to retune your carburetor — especially the idle mixture and idle speed screws. Chapter 13 has instructions for doing this job. If your car sounds like a jet plane or makes some other loud, abnor mal sound, a hole in the muffler is probably the cause. Replace it immediately: Traffic cops hate noisy mufflers, and carbon monoxide hates people! Chapter 20: Troubleshooting Leaks, Squeaks, Smells, and Strange Sensations A O C If the horn is stuck, your vehicle is producing what may be the worst noise it can make. Before this happens, have someone honk your horn until you can locate it under your hood. There are usually two horns. Each has a wire leading to it. If your horn gets stuck, pull these wires to stop the noise (see Figure 20-2) — sometimes you have to pull only one. When you have the horn fixed, tell the mechanic that you pulled the wires and find out why the horn got stuck. (If you can't get at the horn wires, disconnect one battery terminal or pull the fuse that goes to the horn to stop the noise.) Figure 20-2: If your horn gets stuck, pull a wire to silence it. Chevrolet Express Commercial Cutaway. * If your car sounds like an old taxi, especially when you drive it on a bumpy road, it may just need lubrication (see Chapter 16). However, the problem might be worn shock absorbers or struts, suspension ball joints, or broken stabilizer links (see Chapter 11). You may get used to the squeaks and groans, but they also indicate wear, because they're caused by parts rubbing together or moving without the proper lubrication. Obviously, action is called for. The following section may be of help.
